That is the one I was thinking about. "One More Day" turned me off for a long time, too.

My daughter didn't see it until this morning. She sent me a string of very excited texts when she did.

That absolutely sounds like Dafoe laughing to me right when we see the pumpkin bomb.

according to Google, Rosemary Harris is still up and around at age 94, so they'll be quite remiss if they don't bring Harris, Sally Field and Marisa Tomei together for an Aunt May-palooza.

Sadly, Cliff Robertson is no longer with us, but what about Martin Sheen sitting Peter down for an inspirational conversation? Maybe they could bring in Campbell Scott, too. Maybe they could do something off that deleted scene from Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Or maybe leave all that crap alone. The MCU version of Spider-Man has done well not getting bogged down in Uncle Ben and Peter's parents.

Is there anything in Black Widow that is relevant for the next phase?

Introduced some characters that will probably show up in the Hawkeye series, and one maybe in some other stuff. Not sure if any of them will make it into the movies.

I'd be surprised if that one character didn't show up in Hawkeye, but I'm certain they will be in the movies as well.

The real potential of What If? stories is they can be really fun, but they can also be very dark. The showrunners have definitely grasped the possibilities of both.

The best What If? stories were always the ones where dozens of X-Men and/or Avengers got slaughtered.
There was one that ended with Wolverine leading a team comprised of Iceman, Siryn, and random mutants Sunder, La Bandera and Amphibius into a bleak future. Let's just say that while the path to getting there was interesting, I don't have high hopes for Xavier's dream in that particular universe.

One that always stuck out to me was Vol. 2, Issue 87, which focused on Sabretooth. In the original story, Sabertooth gets loose in the mansion with only Bishop, Jubilee, and Beast at home. Bishop confronts him but needs the help of Jubilee with a taser to survive. The What If? version begins with Jubilee arriving a bit too late. The issue plays out like something out of a horror story rather than a superhero comic.

The worlds of those stories don't have to continue, so anything can happen. The natural attachment fans have to the characters provide emotional stakes, anyway. It is a potent combination when used well, which I think the Disney+ series has done well so far.

If you watch the trailers, including the promo for Episode 5, you will see that things are going to change. They haven't hidden that at all from fans who are paying attention.

    Great flick
    Great new characters

You need to see it before Dr. Strange and possibly Spider Man.
