Nice. Punk with the "I'M BACK, MOTHERFUCKERS!" to the crowd.

Wasn't his best match, but Punk looked great for the layoff he had.

Punk was on Renee's podcast, and he was saying how much he marveled at how tall the cage was. I'd say that's a legit 20-21 feet from the mats to the top.

Well, that was what we all came for, wasn't it?

It's been a while since I've watched any wrestling for an extended period, but that was well worth it. Tag match was outstanding, Jericho-MJF was pretty damn good, and the post-main event appearances were a great finish. I may have to start watching the AEW shows regularly.

 

For decades I’ve waited for blowback to “sports entertainment” and “superstars.” It’s wrasslin’ damn it!

 

In about three weeks time, they've added Punk, Bryan and Cole (as well as Ruby). What a time we live in.

I can't wait for WWE's rebuttal tomorrow with the same matches rehashed for the 74th time. Not sure whey they are for Raw, but I wonder if there will be any AEW-related chants.

 

The E’s response will be to ignore them and keep putting out the same formulaic soylent green that they’ve been doing for 15 years.
