One thing AEW has done better than WWE lately is feuds away from belts. Not all of them have been great, but the whole Inner Circle-Pinnacle thing is a prime example, as is the stuff they've done with Moxley since he's dropped the belt. I think they'll be fine setting things up for Cole, Danielson and Punk. Eventually they'll all get a shot at a belt, but you have to think for Punk and Danielson, they can build things as them looking for matches against folks they've wanted to fight for a long time and let them elevate some folks rather than just throw a belt at them right away, and I think they'd both be cool with that. And I think Cole will just be happy to have great matches, get to be with his girlfriend and do his Twitch stream. Sure, he's gonna want Omega at some point. But I'm sure coming in he knew that was down the road. I wouldn't be surprised if him and the Bucks didn't at least outline a rough long-term plan for him before he signed anything.

Its a personal preference, I guess. I want to see serious best in the world UE ass kicker Adam Cole, not goofy young bucks youtube Adam Cole.

He’s rich, he’s happy, I don’t fault him, but I have no faith he’s gonna be used in a way that I want to see or that elevates his stock

Cole had no path for anymore growth in WWE. He conquered all NXT had to conquer, and it's pretty clear he is not in the image of anybody Vince wants in the main event of Raw or SD. The Summer of Punk or Bryan's Mania 30 were anomalies.

Just because he likes to goof off on YouTube doesn't mean he won't be taken seriously as a threat in AEW (see Kenny Omega). And he's got an infinite number of fresh matchups now: Bryan, Punk, Christian, Darby, Jungle Boy, Sammy, Miro if he wants to bring the secondary belt to the Elite.

Yeah I just disagree. Omega’s a huge goof. That stable and angle does nothing for me. Cole on a run on vs Owens or Rollins or someone of that ilk, with a serious character run just like Balor, works for me.

Hope I’m wrong and hope its good stuff

Nice gesture by Nikki Cross to wear a band of tape for Daffney.

So my thinking is if the talent is happy, it will show in their performances. It seems like AEW is doing a good job making sure they stay happy. So I hope that continues.

It's like Punk, Cole, Bryan and Ruby, multiplied by 2! :D

Something I discovered while watching Sammy Guevara's vlog from All Out -- the two portals AEW has on the entrance way ... one is actually for faces, the other for heels. If anybody was observant, they would have noticed Sunday night that Cole came through the heel entry (the one on the left if you're looking at the stage).

That is also appropriate because one of the few things I remember from high school Latin class -- the Latin word for "left" is "sinistra," as in sinister.

Yep. I think when Punk left after his debut, he teased to the crowd which portal to leave through.

Take it to the Politics thread.

I know they've been stuck in the mid-card since they split up, but I really think Kofi and Xavier could've made a better choice for a third member.

I mean, since New Days been cosplaying in those sweet Hall and Nash gears, is Fauci the third man?!??

But who's side is he on?!?

So awesome that line came from Heenan, the ultimate Hulkamania skeptic.
