President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

My wife needs two total knee replacements but has not been able to get her BMI low enough to meet surgical preconditions. She is in pain anytime that she is standing. Last time she voted in person she was in a wheelchair, but access isn't the best. Drive through would have been lovely, but it was not an option. Neither is mail in. I was able to cast her ballot using absentee voting, but that required that I drive downtown to city hall and stand in line because the Alabama Republicans put up as many barriers as possible to vote.

I don't know if you consider that suppression or not. I certainly considered it a major pain in the ass.

 

Voter harassment would be a more accurate term than suppression, which implies voters can be prevented from casting their ballots. They can't, but it sure can be and is made as inconvenient and difficult as possible.
