This is kind of what I was getting at with my earlier post. I'm all for a vaccination mandate, myself. I just don't think there's any reason not to get it, and there's too much potential upside to overlook.

But if anti-vaxxers thought their rights were being impinged upon when it was simply being asked/suggested that they/everyone get the shots voluntarily, wait until there is an actual, real mandate in place that could put jobs on the line, and actually make people really stick up for their principles, put their money where their mouth is, actually, etc.

People's lives could be changed significantly and even uprooted if they still won't vaccinate, and don't want to do regular, ongoing testing.

Now, it feels like they might actually have something to protest. They don't, really, but it feels like they might.

I also do think any mandate should apply to illegal aliens and all those coming into the country from the border. Why shouldn't it? There will be substantial negative publicity for Biden about that aspect of this situation, and rightfully so, in my opinion.

The problem isn't going to be Afghan refugees.

Nearly all Afghan refugees at Fort McCoy accepting COVID vaccinations

They want to do what's right for America more than many Americans.

My friend is hosting a 16 year old exchange student from Vietnam. When my friend and the boy’s mom talked on the phone before the kid got here, the first thing the mom asked was if my friend could take her son to get vaxxed ASAP because they haven’t been able to get vaxxed where they live. My friend and her family picked the kid up at the airport after his long flight here and went directly to CVS, where he got Pfizer #1. Yesterday, he got Pfizer #2. The mom is super grateful her son is protected (the kid is pretty happy, too) and can’t believe so many Americans are turning up their noses at the vaccine.

If these guys were smart, they'd be much more dangerous.

That website /shudders. You’d think in 2021, The Hill would have something better.

Seems like emergency authorization could come November/December, which is better than I heard. Originally, it was early ‘22.
