This weekend, wife and I binged Outer Banks - we have the S1 finale to watch tonight. Pretty decent, as far as fluff goes. They chew through plot and scenery quickly enough that you don't ask a ton of questions.

Recently got into Animal Kingdom on Netflix. It’s like Godfather meets Point Break.

Ellen Barkin is head of a crime “family” that pulls off jobs in Souther California.

based off an Australian series a few years ago. Pretty dark.

New episodes air on TNT as well. Watched the first few episodes of Season 1, enjoyed it, but then lost track of it. I think it got a little nutty by Season 3 or 4, but the show is still going and a new season just started so I guess it's got a following.

They've made some odd choices through the run - there really is no likable character on the show and motivations are all over the place. It's ending this year, which I think was wise. Barkin's character and acting really kind of make the other characters look pretty small. I still can't figure out what Pope's deal is - he's like a semi-autistic, uber-violent at times, child predator. I mostly blame the writers.

The other guy from Kentucky was Dudley Dursley. (Also things I have just learned, thanks to Wikipedia - Harry Melling's grandfather was Patrick Troughton, the second incarnation of The Doctor.)

There was a scene in episode 3 in which I was literally laughing so hard I nearly cried.

This week's episode of Ted Lasso is 45 minutes and they packed every inch of it.

The Billions return premiere was pretty good

i remember being really tired of the show and ready to quit when this season paused….. the restart was a big improvement

I'm sure every single one of us on this board has seen a parent like Jamie Tartt's dad. Man, it was satisfying to watch Jamie clock him and Beard bodily throw him out of the locker room.

Have bad feelings about the confessions made by the coaches, especially how Nate (who didn’t say anything embarrassing) seems so vindictive.

I am sticking with Nine Perfect Strangers, but it isn't easy. I don't mind slow stories, I don't mind shows that are character driven over plot. I'm just not finding anything here to really get me excited.

It is starting to feel like a waste of a decent cast.
