I think part of the reason Nikki Cross was transformed into this wacky superhero is because Karrion Kross was coming up, and she had to give up her last name.

 

Just caught up to that promo. Incredible heel heat, great old school trashing of the city.

 

She said she pitched the whole thing to Vince herself based on the success of Marvel and their female leads….. her name had zero to do with it

 

Now, this is funny.

 

The caveats of being on network TV -- they've already had to press the mute button twice on Smackdown for "Holy shit" and "You fucked up" chants.

 

Holy shit. Introducing Trae Young at MSG is an AMAZING heel move by Sami Zayn.

I say that as a Hawks fan.

 

Yeah, that was great. I love it when they step things up at MSG.

 

Apparently, Zelina Vega, a native New Yorker whose dad was killed in the WTC on 9/11, was supposed to have a tag match on TV tonight, but it was cut for time.

Things happen, but not the best optics for WWE considering they were at MSG and were playing up the remembrance of 9/11 so much.

 

Watching WWE's doc on the post-9/11 SmackDown. Another great (albeit sad) piece, and with a special gravitas for getting Tom Rinaldi to narrate.

 

From the same guy who said "Fuck that kid" about Brodie Jr. after his dad's tribute show ...
