I have seen a lot of “Trump won” signs turn into “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Trump” signs.

Acknowledging he isn’t the President, at least.

Yeah, the other thing these folks were going on about was how Chris Wallace is a traitor and a socialist because how dare he ask tough questions.

Objectively speaking, is Biden really that bad?

Is it even possible to be objective about it?

Biden needs to threaten Nebraska with the strictest penalty imaginable: All TVs in the state can show nothing but the Cornhuskers.

9/11 was a major point of divergence on the road to how we've got here, but not how you think. I firmly believe that the Republican Party lost its way when Newt Gingrich convinced them in 1994 that they could win anything if they were mean enough, but when one of the main Bush administration talking points after 9/11 was "Islam is a religion of peace," that a critical mass of the people, the kind of rural folks who have never met a Muslim in their life, were simply unable to compute the two statements. What that turned into was a 20-year quest to somehow rid the word of dangerous brown people and lionize the people doing it to make up for the guilt and grievance so many of them felt over the way returning American servicemen were treated after Vietnam. When it turned out that wasn't a realistic goal, they aligned themselves with anyone who they thought could offer security, either for dangerous brown people or the people who called them racist or stupid.

We need reservations for the stupid. March them all to Idaho and Wyoming. They have lots of room there. Let them stew in their Covid juices separate from the rest of us.
