    Totally my thinking.
    1) Unprofessional by Hyde.
    2) Almost as odd: other manager says nothing.
One thing managers/coaches are not supposed to do: yell at opposing players. One thing they are supposed to do: defend their own players.

I think I was more pissed off about 2) than 1). Montoyo should have called time out and ran to the opposing dugout to confront Hyde.
I know bench jockeying is considered part of the game by some, and maybe it was just the sparse crowd making the dugout talk more noticeable, but that was just way out of line.

At the very least, Montoyo should have gone to the HP umpire. And the umpire should have told Hyde to shut up.
Nothing about this episode makes sense.
Not as bad as Blue Jays fans hurling beer cans and racist epithets at Adam Jones during the 2016 Wild Card Game, but certainly more audible.

Good for the Brewers and I know they've got a real shot at the World Series this year. But nothing gets my cranky old school baseball dander up like pulling a guy with a no fucking hitter. Burnes' arm was not going to fall off if he went out for the ninth.

I’m starting to think I may have a chance to no-hit Cleveland.

That clubhouse must haaaaaaate Plesac. All three no-hitters came when he was pitching.

Guessing Brandon Hyde won’t be mouthing off to the Blue Jays anymore.

Remember when Dodgers-Padres was the best rivalry in baseball?

Yeah I’m sensitive external genitalia punching anyone who tries to argue the Padres are going to compete next year.

Giving up 44 runs in the next three games might shut him up some.

Strange stuff. Only excuse for yapping at opposing players is if they’re throwing at your players’ heads. And that didn’t happen here.

I have been mourning the gradual extinction of the "Ace" in the past 5 or so years. Yesterday gave me a reminder that there is at least one still out there, Max Scherzer. 3,000 Ks, that's amazing; 200/yr for 15 yrs! (Props to Verlander too for being a part of that club; how did Tigers let them both leave??)
