It should also be noted - In Michael Lewis' book "The Fifth Risk," which is about Trump and the federal government, he notes that Trump had Chris Christie in charge of his transition team. Okay, I probably wouldn't vote for the guy, but he's a competent politician. When Trump actually won the election though, he pretty much ignored Christie's work, and a "new" transition team led by Jared tried to do it instead. There are even federal funds earmarked for both parties to recruit and to staff - Trump refused to use them. Didn't care.

As a result, pretty much no federal agencies were appropriately staffed in the run up to and during the Trump administration, even shit they *wanted* like ones related to criminal justice. Typically, there *are* members of the federal bureaucracy who stick around through administrations. This was around example 78,292 of Trump eschewing norms though, so it kind of went overlooked. (Well, until the end of the administration, when one of the dominoes finally fell - his disbanding of the pandemic response stuff.)

It's funny. He's showing 46 percent with 2.3 million votes. There were 9.1 million votes cast. He's in reality getting 26 percent of the vote if the didn't answer is counted as none.

Yeah, just saw those numbers a few minutes ago. The most distressing thing is -- like 73 million voting for Trump -- 2.3 million wanted LarryFuckingElder to be the governor of California.

Tried to be funny after Kasie Hunt tweeted a similar take and was dragged on social media. I shall avoid humor
