This one isn't going to be a formal, organized thing; it's not based on borders. If it is a physical conflict, it may be over democracy vs. theocracy and the battles waged in the buildings of power such as the one the Trumpist Klan tried to incite on Jan. 6.

I just think it's weakened our social structure. My book club has been on hiatus since the pandemic started. We were getting ready to restart until the summer surge. Now, I find little interest. People, at least many people I know though certainly not all of them, has sort of peeled back their social groups and left themselves with a smaller yet closer core. Not going to lie, there are people I know who aren't vaxxed and I'm not comfortable with them. There are people I know whose Trumpy politics are out there and I don't see the need to socialize with them. It's kind of like self segregation. In the before time, it didn't matter because you liked each other and all the stuff was background noise. Now it's all the noise all the time.

We aren't sure how many of them are in the National Guard. Or the police department.

Some perspective: Mass. just released numbers saying that there have been 28,000 breakthrough cases of COVID, resulting in 200 deaths. 4.6 million people (~67 percent of pop) are fully vaccinated.

28,000 breakthrough cases is the equivalent of 0.0608 percent of vaccinated persons being infected.

200 deaths equals 0.0043 percent of vaccinated persons dying.

Based on these numbers, in 2019-20 the flu had a death rate of 0.11 percent.

“Everybody knows” … talk about an exaggeration. People still claim if somebody dies in a car wreck the hospital lists them as a Covid death.
