No Rory or Poulter in the morning, hard to believe. Might not have to worry about switching between singles and the NFL on Sunday.

Did anyone else catch Tirico praising JT for running to his next shot only to be caught up when he realized JT was unzipping his fly as he approached a clump of shrubs? Good times.

This is why match play is so much fun to play and watch, but also why it'll sometimes make you want to pull your hair out. Yesterday afternoon, Rahm and Hatton birdie 1, 2, 5, 12 and 16 and don't win any of those holes. (DeChambeau/Scheffler match four of the birdies and take No. 5 with an eagle.)

I hope this thing gets competitive.

One hole really bugged me yesterday in the four-ball matches. Yes, Scheffler was safely in the fairway with his ball, but Bam Bam just had to pull his dick out and swing it around and try to drive the green on a par 4. He ends up in a bunker and barely gets out of it, leaving him no realistic chance at birdie. If he just hits it in the fairway, he probably has an easy up and down for birdie. Instead, they're left with just Scheffler's birdie putt, which was a good 25-30 out. The whole fucking point of team play is to help your team be in the best position to win a hole. But Bam Bam can't help himself. It's all about him.

You guys must be watching a different golf match than me. McIlroy looked like garbage. Neither of his matches made it past the 15th hole.

The Ryder Cup is my favorite event in all of golf, even though it frustrates the heck out of me more often than not.
Whispering Straights is a beautifully scenic golf course.

It's weird to see 12 top pros in a collective putting slump. Of course, there are like 20 guys in every Tour tournament who can't make a putt to save their souls all week, but they're not on a team where you notice the way the Euros are.

Welp, 9-3 heading into Friday afternoon is some serious butt-whipping, especially in foursomes (which the U.S. traditionally sucks at). You're asking the Euros to win 11 points with only 16 matches left.

Rahm has 2 1/2 of those 3 points.

Don't let it get to 10-6, that's the most unsafe lead in Ryder Cup play.

But hell which was the last side to throw up a 20 spot? It might happen.
