Ravens convert a 4th and 19, drive down the field and Tucker nails an NFL record 66 yarder.

    That’s why they’re the Lions.

I, almost, can’t believe that finish.
The Lions, a sentimental favorite since I read “Paper Lion” in like 1965, have found another impossible way to lose.

If it happened to anyone other than the Lions ...

Meanwhile, it sure as hell looked like there should have been a delay of game on the play before that. The play clock was at a stale zero for at least a full second before the Ravens snapped it.

John Harbaugh looks ashamed that they won.

That record might only last a week. Tucker and the Ravens at Mile High next week.

Justin Tucker’s 66-yard field goal, his fourth of the game, wins it after Sammy Watkins caught a 36-yard pass on fourth-and-18.

I remember watching the Dempsey kick too. Same score, 49 years and 11 months ago.

The clock management by the Chargers was, um, interesting.

On CBS they’re saying play clock ran out when Jackson threw ball away and the refs didn’t catch it
    Of course they didn’t
    THAT’s why they’re the Lions

On the Dempsey kick, Alex Karras later joked that he and the other Lions defensive players were laughing at the "stump-footed" Dempsey lining up for the kick.
Yet in the pictures of the kick, Karras was the one player who came closest to blocking the kick. He was maybe two yards away when Dempsey got it off.
