Week 3 NFL thread: Steamer Horning played in Toledo, not Cleveland

I cannot commit to watching an entire college game, especially the night games. It's four hours. The NFL knows 3 plus OT is what the networks want and it's what they deliver. It's especially insane because as tapinto notes, there are always like other games on. Boston is probably the deadest city in the nation for college ball. There will be like 25 games on my cable system this weekend.

My week from hell note for today (there will be more, alas). Tony Massarotti, my former colleague whose print work I respected a great deal, went on his high rated and horrible talk show with Michael Felger and said he thinks Belichick should be fired because of the Saints loss, which as far as his show is concerned, was the first trap game in sports talk radio history. The two of 'em didn't talk about the Saints last week until shamed into it by callers.

If it's executed correctly (which can probably be said about most plays), the play action pass to the tight end is almost impossible to stop on the goal line. Bonus points if the QB does the bootleg for the run-pass option.
I know you can't run it every time, but it feels like it works every time it's tried.

I'm kinda spoiled on this, having watched Brady and Gronk for a decade. Without them, the Pats don't even call it anymore.

We are in the Golden Age of announcing with Romo on Saturday and Peyton on Monday.

I think that college football runs the danger of becoming like NASCAR. A regional sport that will be very popular in the Southeast and the Midwest. But not particularly popular in the Mid-Atlantic, New England and Pacific Coast states.

Manning broadcast reminds me of the Villareal brothers.

I click on it but it doesn't play like it has the last 2 weeks.

Edit: it's working, might be wifi glitches.
