2021 Pro Wrestling Thread

I'm watching on DVR. And I have to say the chain wrestling between Adam Cole (BAY BAY!) and Jungle Boy to start their match was refreshing. Side headlocks for life!

 

This is twice Cole’s music has hit right after Cult of Personality and his pop has been louder. Its freakin awesome to see

 

He's going to be a mega-face eventually. Him vs. MJF would be awesome.

 

Great show tonight. Two bangers at the bookends with a lot of good stuff in between. The stuff connected to Brodie was fun, and Arn had a helluva promo -- reminded me of Jake Roberts' debut promo against Cody.

 

Oh, damn ... Sammy vs. Bobby Fish next week? Undisputed Era now split in half between AEW and NXT.

 

I love the AEW crowds. They cheer for who they want and then boo Cody.

 

Loved the "shut the fuck up" chant at Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page. Agreed with that 100 percent.

-1 throwing the rolled up paper at the Dark Order guys to get them back in the ring was a great homage to his father.

 

Made the whole show.

 

The throwing the papers still cracks me up.

Also fun little hidden character-work moment. After the match ends, Orange Cassidy just stand in the corner on the floor and does nothing.

 

The STFU chant is an old one from the original ECW.

There was one time when the ECW crowd was telling someone (I think it was Bill Alfonso, but am unsure), to STFU. Joey Styles, in his broadcast, responded …” and the ECW Arena crowd politely asks Bill Alfonso to return the microphone to ringside. …”

 

On another note, tonight's Dark Side is on Japan's FMW deathmatch fed. Wouldn't it be something if Ric Flair somehow gets caught up in this one, too, since he's 2-for-2 so far.

 

Silver's reaction to the papers in his face kills me.
