I read the books twice many years ago. And always wanted to see it made it to a series or a movie but didn’t think there was an ability to do it. I saw the first episode, and in keeping with the theme of sj.com, it sets up the rest of the Series very nicely.

I read the books as a teen and don't remember them at all

I even watched the UK edition of L&O - some based on eps of the mother show. Worth checking out if you're a fan.

When the Dean of Canterbury quotes Family Guy, you know it's made its mark.

Have you seen Year of the Rabbit? Critics tend to go on about Toast of London and Snuff Box, but I think aside from WWDitS and The IT Crowd, it's his best work.

Damned if Taika Watiti didn't make me say, "Awwwww!" at a vampire in the original movie.

The only thing Lucifer had in common with the comic was the name. I was initially a little disappointed with the direction they took but came to enjoy it on its own merits. Ellis was a perfect fit for that show. As the Sandman Lucifer Morningstar? Not so much.

Agree with you about Charles Dance.

I have my own thoughts on the way it has been cast and promoted, most of which were informed by the way he handled responses to some of his choices wrt Good Omens.* #OscarsVisceralLoathingOfAttentionSeekingSJWsAndHipsDadsIsShowing

*Gaiman reminded me of some overly sheltered college freshman who had just found out Adam and Eve were not white and couldn't wait to piss off his parents over Spring Break.

It lived up to the hype for me.

No, never seen Rabbit. Like to but don’t have access to whatever service has it.

Binge watched "The Chair" yesterday. Excellent show. Filmed mostly at Washington & Jefferson (I thought it looked like Tufts).

Here you go! Channel 4 Year of the Rabbit
    Also well worth a look:
    Garth Merenghi's Darkplace
    Comic Strip Presents... - All 4 (channel4.com)
Unlike BBC, they don't block viewers outside of the UK. If you do run into some issues, try using a VPN.
Don't know if anyone is streaming Snuff Box.* The IT Crowd and The Mighty Boosh are on Hulu.

*Ex-Chewtoy is a huge fan of Rich Fulcher. I watched one clip of Snuff Box where Berry kicked a dog and noped out.

Edit: Oh, heck. You will need a VPN. I've been using one and didn't notice the UK only verbiage.

Discovered Loudermilk two weeks ago on Prime Video. Awesome. Ron Livingston and Will Sasso are great.

Only a couple of episodes left. Hope Amazon or someone picks it up; read it was an an abandoned Audience Network show.

There is a season 3 on Prime in Canada, not sure if you watched that.

At times it was a goofy show but pretty watchable. Livingston has had a productive career, but I always thought he could have been bigger. Maybe the type of movies for which he is suited aren't made anymore.

We have season 3 on Prime in the US as well; going to knock off the last episodes tonight.

I agree about Livingston. I've been really impressed with some of his roles, including a small part in Parkland where he portrays an FBI agent in Dallas right after JFK's assassination. But those are largely the roles he seems to get; he's not "the guy," that often.

I think Livingston is best in those kind of slower, understated roles. His best stuff, he's not playing it super big; he's an every man. He's great at that, but understandably, that's a tough sell for TV and movie industry executives. "Office Space" had made more than $100M in profit now, but it still meant Judge's follow-ups got consigned to narrow release windows, even though "Idiocracy" is now a non-fiction horror movie.
