I will allow that Buffalo is in the eastern portion of the United States but there is no way, by any definition that Buffalo is an east coast city. According to Google, the closest driving distance from Buffalo to the Atlantic Ocean is 433 miles.

Perhaps "rare city in the Eastern Time Zone," although the sun sets over water all along the west coast of Florida as well as western Michigan.

I'll say Tyler, especially since he still has grandchildren living today.

Outlived Polk, Taylor, Fillmore and Pierce. Lived to see Buchanan, Lincoln, Johnson and Grant inaugurated, which means he lived to at least 1869.

No wonder the country was so fucked up. In 29 years, they had 11 presidents (including Tyler, Harrison and Van Buren.)

He died in 1862. If he saw Grant inaugurated, he would have outlived Lincoln too...

Martin Van Buren. Outlived all seven of his predecessors, and saw Harrison, Tyler, Polk, Taylor, Fillmore, Pierce, Buchanan and Lincoln get inaugurated before dying in 1862.

One more bit of POTUS trivia:

Since the Civil War, name all the presidents who served in the U.S. Senate, but not the U.S. House of Representatives.

This is why I was kicking myself earlier (apart from my epic fail of mixing up Ford and Carter's presidencies). Van Buren out lived two of them because they died in office in pretty close together (Harrison who succeeded him and Taylor who was elected 8 years after Van Buren) which also led to being alive for more inaugurations.
