Oh I don't think she's crazy at all. I think - and I mean this as a compliment - she sees a lot of sports, compared to things that might actually matter in the world, as full of shit. Which, they often are.

This was meant to be complimentary?

"Beadle's about as good anybody could be at hosting a show if not for those things. Maybe you could make those things a show. Contempt, with Michelle Beadle."

Nolan's problem is she's not funny.

After you said "those things", i.e. contempt, were what's making her from being a better host.

If that's a compliment, it's a backhanded one at best.

But someone with the power to write checks does.

In TV, there is always a sense of management to be able to say, "I hired that person!" or "I discovered that!".

A PTI-like show with Jason and Katie would be ... well, I'd watch, because.

I'd rather watch him partner with Michelle Beadle. But only if she treats him with contempt.

Sports programming and athletes take themselves very, very seriously. Think about how many comedians who always killed hosted the ESPYs and got the reaction of a wet fart to their jokes. I think they finally gave up and just stopped using comedians. You can probably count the number of "humorous comedy shows about sports, on sports networks" on one hand - Cheap Seats, Garbage Time, Sportsnation at times...
