I read this doonesbury in print today. This was probably the first Sunday doonesbury I’ve read in months. It is deadly accurate. I get these kinds of questionnaires all the time.

It’s an aggregated story from the Chicago Sun-Times, an aggregation that mentioned, in the third graph, what Ben Kesling wrote.

Frankly, Tammy Duckworth *deserves the tax break.* read that again. But this is an example of Twitter being Twitter. If Twitter wants to blame a news outlet, blame the Sun-Times.

I still think Biden missed the boat when he didn't pick Duckworth as his Veep.

If the political situation in the U.S. was reversed:
--would McConnell hesitate to pack the court when a liberal majority stemmed from presidents who all lost the popular vote at least once (and three from someone who lost it twice)?
--would the filibuster still be in place?
--would the GOP have been low-key about the other party's president fomenting an insurrection to stop the election he lost by 7 million votes from being certified?

I just wonder when twas he last time the Republicans worried about being too far to the right and losing moderates, the way Democrats seem to constantly worry about not being able to attract moderate voters.

One reason Trump soured on Moscow Mitch is he wanted to ditch the filibuster and Mitch wouldn’t do it
