They're just trying to treat religious beliefs, in this context, the same way that hospitals tend to do with every patient, treating them within the framework of the patients' personally held religious beliefs. It also is an attempt at separation and the preservation of the sanctity of religious beliefs, not unlike the separation of church and state. The concepts are the same.

Think they've just dug in and are going to stay there. Some still clinging to Lysol and Clorox shots, others hoping for herd immunity, some getting into the cow dewormer. Some still mad that someone in Big Pharma is getting rich off this. And there's always the "God will provide for me" crowd - are masks, sanitizer and three types of vaccines not ample evidence of God's provision for us?

I also think they honestly give a flying fuck about their fellow human beings. They got theirs, too bad about the rest. Ah, fuck them.

so anything I perceive to be a personally held religious belief needs to be accommodated? Including segregation and homophobia? Women can’t be in a position of authority is the way I chose to interpret the Bible.

Someone should tell them that the vaccines are the best way to get to herd immunity.

Jehovah’s Witnesses will refuse blood transfusions, but I think it’s a line in the Bible. I’m pretty sure they are cool with vaccinations.

I personally think that if your idiotic behavior that might be dangerous to others is the product of a sincerely-held blind trust in an organization with far-fetched sounding ideas that discourages independent thought on your part. ... that makes it all OK.
