My very Trumpy friend with whom I cut off contact after his crazy election stuff blocked me on Facebook, as did his wife. She apparently recently posted that she was leaving her long time job doing PT and wrote “The Plandemic has another victim”.

Today’s GOP would have jumped all over mandated rationing and blackouts during WWII and claim they were FDR conspiracies to distract from his attempt to pack the court years earlier.

 

My brother's in the ER with COVID. Oxygen at 86, although he's not congested and claims to be breathing fine. His wife had gotten it the week before. Both Republican anti-vaccine. My sister-in-law texted, "I have a friend whose wife works at one of the hospitals. She says doctors are baffled because people who are vaccinated seem to be getting it worse (having worse reactions) than the people who aren't."

Yeah, sure they are.

 

My wife is in South Carolina on a work thing. A couple of weeks ago, everyone who was supposed to be there had a Zoom pregame, so to speak. Someone mentioned they didn't want to be in a car with someone who isn't vaccinated. Everyone started going around the room saying they were. It gets to one guys, "Well, I was given a choice: get vaccinated or stay married." He couldn't have both.
She texted me when she arrived that the guy wasn't there because he and his wife are now both positive.
