It also feels pretty damned good on a cold morning walk. So, there is that.

The KN95’s I have look like a bird’s beak. They seal tightly on the edges but leave space for my mouth and nose. Since I’ve found those I have no issues at all wearing a mask.

The first month in those cheap cloth masks rubbing on my face while sweating at work were torture. Now I enjoy not having to fake smile at people in public and prefer wearing one.

I'm just now at 6 months. Scheduling online for Target, for example, asks questions but not much more than that. Click the boxes and go? I scheduled through them for my flushot and there were literally no words exchanged when I got there because it had all been filled out. Told them my name and then I was getting a shot. Wonder if it would be the same for this?

I think I'll wait a few more weeks and then maybe just try myself. It is dumb there are restrictions.

@Azrael, with ya on wearing masks.

But...but... they can be hard on people who have anxiety issues. I sympathize with @Cosmo, but understand the need to keep wearing them. It's easier for some than it is others.

Got my flu shot a couple of weeks ago. Asked her about the booster and she went strictly off age/condition (not work) and said I wasn't eligible. I'll schedule something for Sunday or Monday after I get back. If they say no, they say no.

Just want to make it clear, if I'm in a place that requires them or even asks for them to be worn, I wear mine. I'm not trying to be a combative jerk. I'm taking my first flight in more than two years next Saturday, and I certainly have no plans of making it on the news as that idiot who fights a flight attendant over a damn mask on a plane. It'll be on.

Apologies if what I wrote scanned that I thought you were being anything less than a gentleman about this. It was more of a general observation about the problems some have with masks.

Local grocery store started asking people to wear masks again... in late June/early July. I don't think it ever ended here.

I honestly expected to see a sharp decline in cases when the first mask mandates went into effect. I know there always have been people fighting it, but a typical trip to the store saw 95% masked. Numbers had to go down, right?

And it just didn't happen. 7-day average in my state for the first week of November 2020 were twice as high as the week before mask mandates went into effect back in June.

Most of this stuff has always been spread among family members, and people don't wear masks at home.
