Echoes of "the soft bigotry of low expectations." Republicans have never owned their own racism

See also the high dudgeon they get into over the fact that Kamala Harris and Barack Obama aren't "really black."

I think Cowher would have laughed and possibly made a sarcastic comment, but I doubt he would have reacted that strongly unless some reporter pushed with follow-up questions.

It wasn't just Palmer talking about it. Former Steeler Ryan Clark talked about the possibility of Tomlin to LSU, possibly wishful thinking by the former Tiger. Doug Whaley, who was an executive with the Steelers Tomlin's first few seasons before a brief tenure as GM of the Bills, also spoke about Tomlin taking a college job. Those are both men who have worked with Tomlin. Also, by the way, both are black.

How many times have y’all heard a white coach describe an opposing team that’s mostly Black as “athletic?”

But Poland was hard working, gritty gutty, coaches on the field, fundamentally sound, etc etc

How many of those Polish players did it take to screw in a light bulb, though?

To paraphrase what Andy Richter said to Norm Macdonald once, I'd have to ask my grandfather a question like that.
