Muh Muh Muh My Corona (virus)

For my fellow parents of 5-11 year olds out there...today was the day we've been waiting for. Shots can now begin taking place immediately.

Local schools are setting up clinics inside the school to give the shots during the school day to kiddos.

 

Must be nice. They’d burn down half the schools in Alabama if they tried it here.

 

I stuck with Moderna for booster because, while all of them are great, the length of efficacy seems slightly better.

I probably could have held off. But have some air travel coming up and my use of public transit is increasing. That and more social occasions with the holidays upon us. So, why not?

Also figured it was good time since we have so much vaccine available and appointments will likely be jammed up with kids 5-11 getting the green light.

I scheduled an appointment through the CVS website. The form didn’t ask for an under 65 eligibility category. No one asked when I showed up for the shot. All they wanted to see was my vaccination card.

I decided to stick with Moderna, largely because I had minimal side effects from the first two Moderna shots so figured the lower dose booster would be easy.

 

Both younger kids are scheduled. Need to just go in and get my booster like everyone else here.

 

Pfizer No. 3 now in my arm, although given how shabbily my local Walgreens is run there could very well have been washer fluid in the syringe instead.

 

Look on the bright side. You'll have a clean windshield every time you sneeze.
