Shit or get off the pot. This committee hasn’t shown the guts to hold anyone accountable.

If they charged someone and that person was found not guilty, you imagine the shitstorm that would follow?

Dot every damn I, cross every damn T and make sure your mother really does love you before charging/indicting anyone.

Yep. That's a big part of why there was an enthusiasm gap in this last election. The most active Dems are tired of nothing happening.

That's why that NY Grand Jury looking at how the Trump Org did valuations and other financial questions is so big. The R's can play around and drag their feet with Congressional protocols, but the Grand Jury is another animal altogether.

This committee isn’t going to exist in 14 months. Instead you’ll be getting monthly impeachment trials. Maybe if the Democrats want to stay in power they could try not being pussies for once in their wretched lives.

Well, here go another couple of hundred thousand taxpayer dollars to pay lawyers to defend plainly unconstitutional laws so the lege can preen and posture for their voters.

The prosecution can't appeal. Double jeopardy.
Here's a question, however: Once a jury trial has started, can a defendant in Wisconsin (or any other state for that matter) have a do-over and ask for a bench trial, essentially asking the judge to dismiss the jurors and determine guilt or innocence unilaterally? I'm going to guess the answer is no.
Given the apparent leanings of the Trumpist with the gavel, however, did the Trumpist hero's lawyers screw up by requesting a jury trial?

If I say this I get put in a Trotsky Triangle hold within seconds.

I must've learned all the wrong life lessons at my Marxist learnin' camp(s).
