Memorial Stadium was also in need of serious repair IIRC. Also, the land was donated to the state/ UConn by Pratt and Whitney.
The Men’s and Women’s hockey teams alsonplay in Hartford.

But the overall point stands that conference realignment has been terrible for UConn.

I’m curious how UTSA at UTEP gets to be on ESPN2. Did the Miners just decide there is no more law west of the Pecos and dare someone to stop them?

Is this an additional broadcast game for ESPN2? Or did it bump something else to the streaming universe?
