Let's not ignore the fact that $3 billion in federal money will be spent on critical needs. That's a helluva lot more than has happened in years.

And Manchin won't be the only no vote among Dems. A few in the middle will take their queues to jump off board, and Sinema will vote no because she's been told to vote no by her donors.

As someone once said, elections matter.

Is this why The Squad bailed?

No, that's not how it works. If Manchin and/or Sinema vote no, every other Democratic Senator, no matter what their reservations about the final BBB bill, will vote yes. Let them take the heat from the party's base (by far the largest share of their own voters for each and every one). If Manchin and Sinema vote yes, then no other Senator is gonna step forward to be Democratic Public Enemy Number One.
What the Squad got was a free vote. Their voting no on the infrastructure bill had no real purpose except to say "we don't trust Manchin and Sinema." Pelosi didn't need their votes, so she was cool with them making that statement which I'm pretty sure is a sentiment she shares.

Just like they did with the economic stimulus plan they voted against.

here's the only tweet I will post on this thread. If career prosecutors are calling him a rote incompetent then I'll run with that appeal to authority.

Hat Man is complaining we can't afford it. If we need it, we need it. Who cares if we can afford it or not?

It’s like a Republican never had a mortgage, they all paid cash for their house/trailer.

Wait, doesn't this bill head to Biden's desk? I've seen several stories saying that.
