If I hear about one more prosecutor or one more grand jury "investigating" Trump, I'm going to puke.

I already responded to this post, but I should add that from what I understand, Trump is quite popular on Long Island (as well as Staten Island and parts of Queens). He carried Suffolk County in 2020. He lost Nassau County by 10 percentage points, but that's still an awful lot of Trump supporters. And I know plenty of Jewish Trump supporters too -- the ones I know lean this way because they say Democrats hate Israel (which is utter nonsense. Tlaib, Omar and a few others are not the Democratic Party as a whole). As far as his supporters not being rich or being golfers -- seriously?

They weren't just not rich or golfers. They weren't Jewish, either. ... even if you can find me some Jews who voted for him, the vast majority weren't voting for Trump.

Those pockets of support in Suffolk County and Staten Island for Trump aren't Jewish people, as you know. Again, speaking in generalities (and I understand this is not EVERYONE), there are a lot of communities on Long Island, like Bayshore and Patchogue, that are filled with working-class people whose kids are firefighters and cops and work construction jobs or have a trade, where there is a vague undercurrent of racism and no shortage of loudmouth opinions about the large number of hispanics from Central America who have moved into their area in the last decade or two. And they supported Trump. It's similar on Staten Island (which doesn't have a lot in common with the other five boroughs), except the broad cartoon stereotype of that Trump supporter is more a Jersey Shore / Guido type.
