I have not watched a second of it, but that sounds like it’s clear grounds for a mistrial. Prosecutors should ask for a change in venue too.

Next time a cop shoots someone under suspicious circumstances, protestors are going to show up armed ... aren't they?

    The defendant is certainly prejudiced.

If that kid walks, it’s open season on brown and black folks. Precedent set. Intended consequences.

If the kid gets convicted, what are the odds that judge voids the decision and gives (maybe) probation instead of the jail time it deserves?

    You mean it isn't already?

I don’t think the kid is getting convicted of anything. Emotions aside, from the snippets I can gather there’s a chance that acquittal on the intentional homicide charges may even be justified (although my uninformed opinion is the reckless homicide should stand). But nobody involved in this case has handled themselves well in the least.

That “breakdown” was the floppiest flop ever flopped. Pure theatrics.

Big man when he has a gun. Sniveling, pathetic piece of shit when he has to face the consequences.

He bought the gun through a straw buyer. He evaded the background check and was underage to purchase one. I think that he's also up on purchasing ammunition, ditto.

He might beat the murder rap, but I don't see how he does not get found guilty on federal gun charges. He does evade charges for crossing state lines with the weapon, as he left it stored with the guy who did the straw purchase for him... but that guy's going down on gun charges too.

This thing has been a complete clusterfuck, and if he's found not guilty and it can't be appealed, people are going to raise hell.
