People in HR. They are largely fucking useless. Apparently I have had $100 deducted from every other paycheck for the last two years -- $2500 total -- because I was not fulfilling certain wellness fulfillments required by the state. Only now do I get an email from this person in my municipality saying I'm in violation of the state requirements. My paychecks are almost identical every two weeks bc my union dues and flexible health were coming out one pay period and this $100 wellness fine the other, so I never noticed.

The requirements are for a cholesterol screening (did that), physical every two years (did that), teeth cleaning yearly (did that) and vision exam every four years (which I just did bc I needed reading glasses). But if any one of them is not up to date, you get fined. They supposedly mentioned that four years ago during orientation, but have I gotten a single notice since? Nope.

Mind you, this is our town's wellness coordinator. Every two weeks she gets a list from the state of who is not in compliance and they run that against our payroll. So she has time to deduct $100 from my paycheck every two weeks for two years, but she can't send me one fucking email. All she'd have to do is email the rest of us on the list and say, "Hey, you're losing money and you're also maybe harming your wellness."

Instead, nothing. And when I ask her why I'm now getting an email notice but not earlier, she said it was something I should have noticed.

I am fucking furious. Middle of a pandemic, got a million things going on, and I'm losing $100 a month for two years bc I haven't had a teeth cleaning? And this coulda been rectified by our wellness coordinator alerting people?

Am I partly at fault? Of course. I should be paying closer attention. But it's also her fucking job. What the hell else does she have to do?

This shit won't stand. I want my money back.

Dang CD, that's awful. And yes, the general incompetence of HR departments is staggering.

In response to @lakefront, if I didn't get at least one alert when calling up the page every morning, my first assumption would be that the site went down. The second would be that I'd been blocked by the moderators. It's about the only interesting thing about my day!

Not knowing that circular saw blades tighten counter-clockwise, and buying a new saw.

My wife putting crap on TV that I don't want to see then proceeding to read me her social media feed - which I don't give a shit about about - while I try to watch something on my computer that actually interests me.

I think the left-hand side pedals on bikes are reverse-threaded, too. Learned the hard way. Twenty minutes I'll never get back.

Yeah, I like them too, I just don't know why I get lots of random ones now. No matter what my settings are on. I get back from disney and all hell done broke lose! Lol

But seriously it seems that I am getting a notification of every post made. Even threads that I have not posted in. I must be the only one?

I spent two hours with Amazon customer service trying to get an order either fulfilled or refunded. At one point, the rep asked me why I waited so long to address this. It was sent to the people who deal with orders over 90 days old.
    • The order was placed October 25th. After the fact, I got an email saying it would not arrive until November 15th - 22nd.
    • I canceled the order and a day later got an email saying the order was canceled.
    • Order reappears with a different number from the same vendor. I try to cancel it and am told it does not exist in the system. I forward them their own email and they say the order number is different, so I decide to accept the new order and deal with it.
    • Yesterday, my FedEx tracker notified me that the order was delivered. Maybe in an alternate timeline, but not at my house.
    • I file for a refund with Amazon, who tell me they will need to "research this."
    • I contact FedEx and they searched for an image of the label. They could not tell me where it went, but they would verify the address was not the one I sent them.
    • I send the FedEx chat to Amazon, the person responds with canned answers and then asked me why I waited so long to address it. I send them the order number, which for some reason EVERY. FUCKING. IDIOT I've talked to says is one item when it plainly says three.
    • I reiterate the facts: Ordered 10/25, Shipped 11/12, Billed 11.16, Delivered (to the wrong address) 11/17.
    • They respond by quoting their policy and telling me I have to take this up with the vendor, who is not responding to their messages.
    • I try to talk to someone else and they keep routing me to the same agent.
    • I try to talk to their customer support on Twitter. Their first response upon reading the chat transcript was "Good God, I'm sorry." That was deleted and I got a curt letter informing me the agent worked perfectly within their guidelines and if I do not hear back from the vendor in two business days to contact them and they will gt my refund for me.
    • In the meantime, an order of cat food I canceled before it even shipped shows up on my purchase history as "Returned and Refunded."
I also wanted to note I kept calm and did not question the parentage or taxonomic classification of anyone involved. I am ranting now because at some point nearly every week, I am trying to straighten out some mess with Amazon and have reached critical mass.

So here's my question: Should I mail used kitty litter or a dead catfish to their headquarters in Seattle?

You could feed the fish to the cat and mail them the resulting litter.

    The old catfish cat diss.
