    "The Cowboys".

Seen it many times. And I've liked it, every time.

"We're burning daylight." Which I just found out was the title of a Jack London novel from 1910. Huh.

And Bruce Dern set the bar for deranged, demented villany.

I watched The Harder They Fall on Netflix last night. A great cast and some very good scenes. It very much had a Tarantino feel to it with the music and the editing.

Eternals… sort of like a Marvel version of a love story.

And if you thought the MCU star power was fading, that ended about three minutes into the credits.

I assume you are referring to the mid-credits scene. That one was spoiled a week or so before the movie even came out, but I won't re-post it here. I rolled my eyes when I heard about it, but the one scene works.

It does feature a love story more prominently than many of the other MCU movies. It even has the first sex scene in the MCU since Iron Man. It is nearly as brief and very PG, so they are keeping it relatively family-friendly.

Marvel is pushing diversity, but they do it better in this movie than they have in some others. The hero shot with the women in Endgame was cheesy and it felt forced, one of the few missteps in that movie. Eternals does it so much better, infusing the story with strong female characters.

Super heroes have flat out fucked in the MCU.

I’m curious if you remember it, but they were fucking the shit out of each other.

I think the cast of Spider Man is the best use of subtle diversity they have done so far, but the family in Eternals was done very well.

Apparently, my memory is failing me. :)

That is a good point about Spider-Man. They actually changed the race of multiple characters from the source material, though Peter's friend shares more in common with Ganke from the Miles Morales Spider-Man books than he does with Ned Leeds from the comics. They also make changes with Mary Jane and Flash, completely changing the characters in the process.

Eternals doesn't have that issue because most fans won't know much about the characters in the source material. Lauren Ridloff's Makkari is particularly impressive.

Watched Black Widow last night. Pretty good but the rare Marvel movie that I don't see myself watching again.

Red Notice on Netflix. Okay. Decent amount of laughs courtesy of Ryan Reynolds. Nothing special from the Rock and Gal Gadot.
