My comment a month ago was, it seems that whichever Republican politician currently rising in prominence is loonier than the previous one.

Well yeah because in the country the sainted founders created, slavery was rampant and the federal government was pretty much committed to exterminating the indigenous population from the land.

    Correct

It’s been a steady stream of one-upping the rhetoric for the last 25 years.

“Remember how we told you the last Democrat was bad? Well wait to you hear about this one!”

That’s been the GOP media game for two decades.

    Good luck, Kemmerer.

Bill Gates-backed experimental nuclear power plant heads to tiny Wyoming city

The use of liquid sodium has many problems. It’s a very volatile material that can catch fire if it’s exposed to air or water,” said Edwin Lyman, director of nuclear power safety with the Union of Concerned Scientists science advocacy nonprofit.

Countries including the US have experimented with sodium-cooled fast reactors for decades but only Russia has fielded such a reactor on a large, power-producing scale, Lyman said.

“Honestly I don’t understand the motivation,” Lyman said. “There are some people who are just strong advocates for it and they’ve sort of won the day here by convincing Bill Gates that this is a good technology to pursue.”

If there are any reasonable Republicans left, they have a chance to send a message today. The House is going to vote to censure Gosar and strip him of committee assignments because of the tweet showing him killing AOC, something that would get you fired from any other job in the country.
He clearly did it. That's beyond dispute. Vote in favor of the censure, and let McCarthy know that if he wants to keep the party together, get a handle on the nutjobs.

Fewer than five Republicans will vote to censure Gosar.
