I know the "bad news for Biden" meme is a thing here.

    But:
    1) Target is getting a lot of foot traffic because with consumer prices going up so much, so quickly, more people are looking to discount retailers.
    2) It's difficult to look at earnings growth just in nominal terms, in this environment. Depending on the retailer, earnings growth may or may not be what it looks like in those nominal terms, because in real terms prices are changing so fast.
    3) As it turns out, Target revealed that its profit margins are getting squeezed hard by price inflation as the company is struggling to avoid increasing prices. And the stock is down more than 5 percent on the day, because the CFO gave murky guidance on those margins moving forward.

None of that has anything to do with Joe Biden, of course. But if that kind of price inflation persists, no, it's not really great news for Joe Biden.

Just going off what the article said, Target’s Q3 earnings and revenue exceeded expectatons. Foot traffic is steng and digital is up 30% He went onto say he doesnt have a concern about supplies heading into the holiday season due to some decisions made months ago.

Now, is this posturing? Can he be spitting out malarkey and Marketwatch is just putting out a press release? Sure, but I think it’s a bit of a counter narrative to the OMG shelves are empty/Holidays are ruined/ Inflation stories that are so popular.

I don't think there's any organic food where he's going.

There was nothing wrong with the MarketWatch story. There is a lot wrong with what you concluded from it. The big news from that Target call was that their margins are getting squeezed (i.e. -- rising costs are really hitting them). Which I'd guess is why shares gapped lower and are down 5+ percent as I type this.

If you understand that was the story that came out of Target's earnings, there is no way you try to turn it into a facetious "bad news for Biden" meme. It's a politician's nightmare if it keeps playing out this way.

Look at it this way. If this was the first story you saw, would you have done a "bad news for Biden" post?

3 1/2 years in federal lockup, loss of Fourth Amendment rights and the inability to vote for the rest of his life. Yeah, not a smart decision, Shaman.

And as noted uptopic, McCarthy is pointing fingers more than offering a defense.

Good Tebow, when did the GQC become a bunch of whining crybabies?
