"The Best Years of Our Lives," another oldie-but-goody movie that I'd never seen before.

Made in 1946, so, very soon after the end of the World War II, it followed the lives of three war veterans who became friends on their flight home and each struggled to adjust once they got there.

It was nearly three hours long and done in black-and-white, but I'd recommend it. The big names were Dana Andrews and Myrna Loy, but the rest of the cast was excellent as well. More and more, I find that old movies are, oftentimes, better than the present-day offerings.

I'm not sure the Netflix series are considered part of the MCU any more. That's why I wasn't thinking of them.

One of the great movies of all time. Earned an Academy Award for the disabled soldier.

Agree completely. I like Craig better than Connery but they really are playing different characters. It makes the 5 Craig films into a mostly coherent story line, though this villain does come out of no where.

Yeah, I think they got retconned, which sucks.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Watched with my teen daughter. She enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. Felt a lot like The Force Awakens in that it was a lot of retread and fan service, but it felt like good retread and fan service. Not the original, but SO much better than the others in the series.

Just saw it in theatre. Very scenic, that made it worth it alone. I am a huge Chalamet fan and he doesn’t disappoint. Yeah it’s predictable and is a bit of a drag to end but how do you end a part 1?

It ended at the correct spot.

In a perfect world, this would be a six or eight-part series.

Ewan McGregor played Obi- Wan in the second Star Wars trilogy. He has a brother who is a pilot in the RAF.

His radio call sign is Obi-Two.

Watched “Shang-Chi” twice yesterday. Damned good addition to the MCU. Then watched “Black Widow” last night. Meh.

BW would have been much better if shown before Infinity War.

I was sick a couple of weeks ago and signed up for HBO Max to pass a couple of days. Watched Dune. Walked in completely blind except for ads. Had never heard of the book.

A solid "meh." Cinema Sins videos on YouTube have a common sin of "movie has time for this," for things that could have been cut. Felt like half the film could have summarized as that. A lot of long shots of people walking, ships flying, etc. They could have cut 30 minutes off easily I think.

As I described it to a friend, it's the best 2.5 hour preview to a film I've seen. Part 2 should be really good, but Part 1 on its own was a bit of a letdown.
