See, something like this is why the Dems in Washington ought to get off their asses, stop issuing strongly worded objections, go on offense and actually do something. Pass a law that allows doctors in any state that permits abortion to host telemedicine visits for abortion and to send abortion pills by mail to anyone who wants one.

Make the anti-abortion states have to go to court and explain why their residents cannot have access to the same legal healthcare providers and legal (in other states) healthcare products as anyone else.

Anti-abortion states whine that pro-choice states have a workaround to their ban? Tough shit. Join the 21st century.

I’m also tired of the Dems not going balls to the wall to fight the GOP’s culture wars. Some of it is fear that they’ll offend casual Christian voters, but a lot of it is they deliberately fight with one hand behind their back.

Next year in Texas, there needs to be ads that say “GOP Politician X wants child molesters to force your daughter to give birth.” Repeat that over and over again.

 

Whether it is trying to kill the filibuster or trying to kill your election opponent, both parties have struggled to keep norms in place.

I think in this case it differentiates abortion by medication vs by surgical or other means.
