I liked the first episode, though I have to admit part of that was just having my MCU viewing buddy back home for a few days. Little OOP is home from college for the holiday, and part of that is making time for the first two episodes and Shang-Chi, which she hasn't seen yet.

My daughter and I just watched the second episode. She is really enjoying Hawkeye so far. We are both enjoying the humor more than the action, though perhaps that will pick up with the reveal at the end of the second episode.

Advance tickets to Spider-Man: No Way Home went on sale at midnight. I checked when I got up at 6 a.m. this morning and quite a few seats for opening weekend were already gone. Little OOP gets home for winter break earlier that week, so I'll be going with the family. :)

I enjoyed the first couple of episodes of Hawkeye, but was really disappointed that they didn't at least toss a credit of some kind to David Aja. His work on the 2012 Hawkeye comic has clearly influenced the visuals of the show. I'm sure his Marvel contract doesn't include any rights to a credit or to compensation, but they've leaned so heavily on his work for the opening and end credits and the marketing that it seems like they could at least toss him some kind of mention.

I can't imagine that Marvel would ever give credit to the writer while ignoring the artist. o_O

I’m sure that character reveal at the end of the second episode meant something to many (most?) MCU fans, but it lacked any punch for me.

That character had not appeared anywhere in the MCU yet, but they do have a connection to Hawkeye in the comics. Honestly, I wouldn't have known who it was if I hadn't known to expect them in the series and if my daughter hadn't caught a detail that makes the character recognizable.

Actually, it is something my daughter spotted earlier in the episode with a different character, too, but I'm not sure if I should spoil that yet.

The first episode of Hawkeye had a lot of highlights, but perhaps none greater than this one.

Maybe “greater” was the wrong word.

Episode 3 was great. Hell of a car chase.

This is fantastic fun. I have liked all the Disney+ series so far quite a bit. Both Loki and WandaVision more than quite a bit.

I have found myself wishing all the Hawkeye episodes were out at once so I could watch them all at once because they are that entertaining to me. I don't remember feeling quite that way with the others.

We'll see how it turns out, but I really wish it was more than six episodes at this point!

I'm just wondering how they can address the various storylines properly in only three more episodes. They are pulling the same trick from WandaVision, hinting at a larger threat that may be a character from the comics who hasn't been in the MCU yet. I'm guessing that is just a ruse, but I hope I'm wrong just because I really want to see that character in the MCU this time.

I'm pretty sure I've thought that with all the series. The only open-ended one was Loki. I don't think this one is more, is it? And I don't know Marvel well enough at all to even guess what surprise character there could be.
