Not much interest in this, so I'll give the answer. Devils Lake in northeast North Dakota is an endorheic lake similar to the Great Salt Lake. While the Great Salt has diminished due to drought and water diversion, Devils and much of eastern North Dakota experienced years of abnormally wet weather in the 1990s. Shoot Alaska is westernmost. Not sure if we're talking continental only.

 

I didn't look up the West, but sources on the internet say that Maine contains the easternmost point of the continental United States.

If you didn't mean Continental, then it's Guam and the Virgin Islands.

 

I was referring to the 50 states, and the answer to both is Alaska.

The westernmost point is West Point of Amatignak Island, Alaska.
The easternmost point is Pochnoi Point, Semisopochnoi, Alaska, because it lies east of the 180-degree longitude.
