I found it interesting that the chemicals they use for fragrances are corrosive enough to cause injury.

I did it as a weekend third job for a couple years during the Christmas season. The only saving grace was it was so easy that a monkey could do it. You could go into mental autopilot, grabbing the jars off the line and putting them in boxes. I think I made $12 an hour, would go in right after getting off my job at Honda and essentially sleepwalk through it. Any industry with any profit margin at all would use a robot to do it, but the margins on cheap candles have to be so slim…

Yes to that. You'd be surprised at chemicals in general. For instance, chlorine isn't classified in the US as poisonous, it'll just irritate you to death.

When I was working I was on a project about chemicals called pthalates. They're everywhere, doing things as diverse as adding fragrance to making plastics flexible. They're the "fresh scent" in dryer sheets, and many scientists argue that they can disrupt the body's endocrine system. So we toss them in the dryer with our clothes to vaporize for our aesthetic pleasure.

One of the chemicals, known as bisphenol a, was removed from the manufacture of plastic baby bottles over fear it might have a detrimental affect on infants. But it's still used widely elsewhere in food-contact applications, such as tin-can liners.

Yep, Trump drinks it and injects it and he is irritating as hell.

If you want to see some pretty good coverage of the tornado, watch today's CNN10.

    64 dead. “Dozens” unaccounted for.

I'm in Bowling Green. The death count here is still at 12, as far as I know. But neighborhoods are wiped out. Businesses, gone. I was out of town when the tornado hit but got back around 9 a.m. Saturday. No power until 10 a.m. Sunday. It was very, very cold in the domicile on Saturday night. But I had a flashlight and 3 candles. My dog wasn't sure what to make of it.

I was on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for Katrina in 2005, when I still worked in the business.

South Central Kentucky is in for a whole new reality.

There will be an army of FEMA personnel and other federal officials in this city for years.

Unsure if it’s been mentioned or not, but there has never been a tornado like this in December.

    Never.

I can't think of a better time to push the climate agenda.
