    Dry food supply seems fine, but wet food is pathetic.

    One dead crazy cat lady could feed 15-20 cats for weeks.

    That’s why I always laugh when Fluffy and Rover are mentioned as survivors in people’s obituaries.

    If you die at home alone, with no way for your pets to get out, your body will be on their menu pretty soon.

    I don't doubt that can happen, but my reclusive brother in law died at home and wasn't discovered for about a week. He had a German shepherd that left him untouched despite lacking food and water. The old shep's digestive system was badly messed up as a result.

    We took the dog home but ended up putting him down because he was failing physically. And he was grieving -- I think he was ready for the end. One afternoon when he was in the back yard, he looked off into the distance and let out a long, mournful howl. It was a heartbreaking thing to witness.

    If prices are markedly higher, of course "sales" are higher --- assuming sales measures total money spent.
