Yeah, I hear you. I turn my feet out at address, to get a little more rotation.

I'll add that I have some neuropathy in my trail leg from past spinal issues, but have suffered zero effects there since switching to the single plane swing.

Here's a reminder, notwithstanding our respective ages, when golfing "be an athlete." Yes, technique helps, but I have gotten too booged down with technique, i.e. short 4 foot putts, and forgotten "just hit the ball straight". Trust my athletic instinct.

I hear you. I'm an average athlete, and not that young. My playing partner always says, "Swing harder," but to do that I have to blend technique and instinct as one. Video helps. My swing had become static and undynamic, with a corresponding loss of power, but I had no idea why until I saw it. I switched ranges to one with Trackman, and now I can quantify swing speed, carry and distance. A few adjustments such as slightly widening my stance and dynamically bracing the trail leg to help load up, moderating tempo to ensure a complete takeback, and I was up to 120-125 mph driver swing speed with carry of 175-180 and roll-out to 200-225. I also hit my 3 hybrid 170, which for me is an exponential leap. (Love the Tommy Armour 845 3 and 4.) I played 18 today on a new course in gorgeous weather in north Jersey and had four pars and six bogies, but I'll always have to work hard to produce an athletic swing consistently.

He’s only 12, but damn Charlie looked ready for prime time already, striping the ball off the tee, irons seeking the flag and draining putts.

The last thing I need is to be outdriven by a 12 year old.

Yeah, the young Charles looks like he’ll be the vanguard of the next PGA generation. In two years, he’ll be playing from the tips and separating grown men from their wallets.

Woods looked better than I imagined at this point. Not yet close to being ready for Augusta. Three months from now? It seems possible.

He was riding a cart and after the two-round event was talking about how exhausted he was. He’s got a ways to go.

Absolutely. Augusta possible but not probable. Maybe British in July is realistic.

Sounded like Eldrick was poor-mouthing himself in a ham-handed attempt at sandbagging the Tour.

I don’t know what I expected, but he looked so much better than I ever thought he’d look again.
