The whole thing was a no-lose situation for them. If the attack succeeded, Trump would have remained president and his enemies would have been punished.

Since it failed, they have a plausible deniability about it. One of them told me that everyone knew that they weren't going to overturn the election.

They just wanted to be heard. All the violence was from BLM, Antifa and the FBI and the Democrats are just using the incident to crush political dissent and distract everyone from Biden's fuckups.

It seems pretty obvious to me, for example, that if Ashli Babbitt made it through the window, she would have let the mob in and a lot of people would have been killed or injured. But we I guess we really can't say that for sure.
