    Her net worth isn't anywhere near a million dollars. There are a lot of really wealthy people in Congress. She may be one of the poorest members. I just looked. On her latest financial disclosure, she reported assets of between $3,000 and $45,000 and student loan debt of $15,000 to $50,000. Her net worth may actually be negative, if she isn't lying on the form.

    I'll stipulate that she has raised millions of dollars for her campaign coffers, and that money probably supplements her lifestyle to a large degree. But politics has not lined her pockets yet to anywhere near the degree you think.
