Running MCU thread

Holy crap, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is so fucking good. Highly recommend.

 

How many Disney+ series will be in the vicinity of NYC? Wasn’t the fat man sort of controlling all the villains that came out of Spider Man’s lab?

 

I gotta wait to Sunday afternoon.

 

Thank you Splendid for starting a spoiler thread for No Way Home. That way we can keep them off this thread for a while. I'll be jumping in to that conversation after I see it.

 

I was originally going to be waiting until Saturday because when I first went to get tickets a couple of weeks ago, all the Thursday and Friday theaters were pretty much sold out. When I finally heard from my sons on if they were going with me, another theater for Thursday was open, so I jumped on it. Very glad I did.

 

My wife is taking my kids to a musical out of town tonight and while I normally would have waited for her, there was one ticket left a few days ago for a 3:30 this afternoon showing in a really great, souped up theater here, so I took it for me time. I think it annoyed her, but I'll go again. I really, really liked it.

 

As we await the conclusion of "Hawkeye," I just want to say the more I think about episode 5, the more I really liked that whole conversation between Kate and Yelena over late-night mac and cheese. I think Florence Pugh (and Hailee Steinfeld, but Pugh especially) is going to do just fine in the MCU.

 

It was fun, which fit nicely in with the rest of the series. It is interesting that so much of the series is about the consequences of betrayal and violence, yet it maintains a lighter tone.

 

So... the Hawkeye mid-credits scene to end the series ... best mid-credits scene ever ... or worst? I believe there will be no middle ground taken by people.

 

Don’t know about ranking. But as a fan of that genre (no spoilers yet) I thought it was great and spot on!

 

I could watch it all day!
