Oh, yes. Sorry. It has 20. I was looking at two different sources, one of which has a slightly higher height requirement for its list than 450 feet.
    Not in LA County.

I'll go ahead and give the answer before bedtime.
The answer is Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, which has a population of 22,342 and 20 buildings that are at least 450 feet tall.

Sunny Isles Beach is a 1.81-square mile town (only .80 of which is land) adjacent to Miami Beach on a barrier island on Biscayne Bay. It was originally conceived as a tourist resort, and after becoming its own municipality in 1997 benefited from the economic boom in South Florida. Its had a ton of high rises built since then and now has the 14th tallest skyline in the U.S.
Fifteen of the tallest 20 buildings in Florida are in Miami, one is in Jacksonville, and the other four are in Sunny Isles Beach.

I was wondering if it was in Florida because of high rise condos and hotels. Would never have gotten Sunny Isles Beach to save my life (granted I can only name something like 10 Florida cities).

That question reminded me of driving west from DFW on I-20, going through miles and miles of absolutely nothing, then suddenly seeing this city skyline springing up out of the desert. It’s Midland, which I’m assuming was built by oil money. Once you get past Midland and Odessa, there is again miles and miles of nothing.
