Tenet. I thought it was very good. A bit hard to follow at times, but cool cast and many great sequences.

    "Matrix Resurrections".

Overall, it's pretty good. Still quite the mind trip. Many sequences are visually stunning, and there are some very unique bits. Downside - it's talky, there's a lot of exposition via talk blather. I don't know how some explanation of new and old concepts could be avoided, and when you're playing with reality "show don't tell" has to be difficult to bring off while giving enough info not to lose the audience. It's still talky.

It's also awfully self-referential. Again, to some degree unavoidable in a "Neo returns to the Matrix" plot, but the frame story about his job as a game designer just drips with it. So does some of the inside the business of entertainment, fanboi, hair splitting trivia and deconstruction of an iconic film that is steeped in the sort of thing that Lana Wachowski has had to deal with for decades now.

I found it very entertaining and a helluva ride simply as a film on a Friday night, though. I'm not quite sure how I'll feel about it's place in things and how I rate it after another viewing and some time to digest. It's worth seeing.

Land, starring and directed by Robin Wright.

Great film dealing with grief and the healing power of nature.

Don't Look Up. (The dark comedy about a giant meteor heading towards earth now on Netflix.) Not bad but absolutely the worst picture in tone to release now.

(But there is a funny extended joke about snacks in the White House starting at 13:30.)

Migawd, that's Dark. I mean DARK. It really takes the piss on Trump, networks, politics, celebrity culture, social media, you name it. It also has a completely insane cast.

It also gets to be a lot after a while. It's entirely too depressingly close to some of what we've been discussing here for years.

Watch it, but be sitting down and strapped in, cause it's a helluva ride. I'm not completely sure I'm recommending it, but you probably ought to see it. Probably. But don't blame me afterwards.

Licorice Pizza was very entertaining. Having grown up in the San Fernando Valley at the time it was set, it wasn’t as much of an homage to the region as I expected, but it was very well acted. They did a great job recreating the clothes, hairstyles and cars of the era.

Somebody posted some weird thing on Facebook regarding Star Wars and the idea of Yoda performing the Alec Baldwin scene from Glengarry Glen Ross I find hilarious.
Just imagine a roomfull of Jedi aspirants complaining about their training.

Watching "It's a Wonderful Life," the part where George is stumbling through the rocking nightlife of Pottersville, the Indian Club and the Dime-a-Dance joint. Hubba hubba!
