The Survivor finale was a microcosm of the season too much human interest backstory stuff, too much Probst trying to pluck heartstrings at tribal council - it's too bad because it was a good group of players, but it was so gimmicked up it felt very much like they manipulated the entire season. The best thing about the season was that they didn't have the loved ones episode.

Probst is a huge part of the problem.

The Snot Boogie story to open S1E1 is the best open in TV history.

    Survivor is still a thing?

If you can get past Dominic West’s brutal accent for that scene.

Finally finished "Money Heist" last night. Last two episodes were jam-packed action as it all came together. They made it worth slogging through seasons 4 and 5.
One thing I look for in watching some of these shows is: Can these people really do these things? Like, how did they get all of that equipment into the building, to melt the gold and pump it out? How did they somehow come up with their artillery and medicine and food, etc.
Oh well, on to other things.

Finally finished the second season of the Morning Show. While it was by no means the equal of the first, I thought it finished strong. Should have left Covid alone, though.

Watched the second season of Emily in Paris over the long weekend. It was an easy and fun watch. It’s beautifully shot and visually appealing with the colorful clothing and views of Paris.

    Good.

Really stumbling with the goofy cousin. McCaulkin going a little too much over-the-top with the acting.

Do like the sus “fiancé” who has mastered frat boy bullying.

Ex told me Rickles -is (?) was (?) I have no idea if he's still around- one of the nicest people he's ever worked with. A colleague told him he and Lewis Black have the same problem when dealing with the public. People try to get them to be on when they're just minding their own business doing what they want/need to do. From personal experience: Super Dave was nice but weird.

Was TFG worth the break you paid your dues to get? Asshole.
