I've noticed that locally (Ohio) as well. All other breeds seem to be snatched up fast.

I'll take a pit I've raised as a puppy over any other breed that somebody else raised questionably.

Same for German Shepherds, although I'm more familiar with that breed and know they are more prone to nip than maul someone.

We adopted this little guy today. He's somewhat discombobulated, can't really find his place in the house --- after initial curiosity has retreated to our sunroom (or shaderoon, as we call it, because it's too dark), almost like he doesn't think the main house should be "his." He's also got some skin problem we hope can be treated as soon as we can get him to a vet.

Taking down the trees today. Obviously kind of a sad chore, but in my mind the New Year doesn't begin until the trees are at the curb for town pickup. And as sad it is to see beautiful things leave the house, when it's over I feel better, like it's time to start again.

I plead exigent circumstances. Trash day in my neighborhood this week is Jan. 6th. Has to be out on the curb that morning or I'd have to haul them to the dump, pardon me, recycling center, myself.

Wife used to insist we leave everything up until Old New Year (Jan. 14). But with it being Florida, and seasonably warm at that, she said it doesn't feel like winter and didn't decorate at all this year. Less work to do, but a little depressing. Then again, it was 2021. Depressing is the motif.

We've kept it up through the 12 Days of Christmas, which, I think, end on Jan. 5, which, I know, is my birthday. So it was always up for my birthday. BFD, eh?

Our tree is still dropping needles in the corner because we’re too lazy to take it down.
