It was very Meh. Liked the mental health angle in the beginning, but it got labored. The rest of it was them basically shouting “REMEMBER THE MATRIX? WE’RE REDOING THE MATRIX! REMEMBER THE ICONIC SCENES? HERE THEY ARE AGAIN, BUT WITH DIFFERENT PEOPLE!”

I enjoyed it ... especially when it went for laughs. The funny parts were pretty funny, and the media satire is almost too on-the-mark at times.

Agree that Jonah Hill's character could have been cut way back.

I liked it a lot. For satire almost too realistic. Maybe that was the point. The timing was definitely on purpose.

Don’t Look Up was a very well done satire. A little preachy, but that, to me, is McKay’s way of standing up and shouting at the audience, “WE ARE ALL GOING TO FUCKING DIE!!!”

Leave No Trace; it's about a father with PTSD and his daughter living in parks and public lands in Oregon and Washington. Very well-acted by Ben Foster and actress who played daughter.

Really enjoyed The Harder They Fall. If you’re making the western choice between this and The Power of the Dog, this is the one to watch. Great music, fantastic gunfights, great finish. I hope Jonathan Majors gets an Oscar nomination.

After seeing Licorice Pizza on the big screen Christmas Day, I decided I try to see 2-3 movies a month. There is a good theatre in town that plays more obscure stuff.

was all set to see Red Rocket this weekend but we are locked down now. Maybe I’ll start Yellowstone, but my energy for binging is really low.

Power of the Dog was the worst movie I have seen in a long time. It just was so pretentious and went nowhere.

Rewatched "Training Day" on airplane, enthralling start then kind of peters out IMHO to show Denzel as a much smaller person than initially shown.

Then its the Lord of the Rings, Pt 1 & 2 with my boy, extended versions on HBO Max. Still holds up.

That movie was about how good of a person Adam McKay is. (The Leo character is meant to be him.)

    Spinal Tap on AMC.

The first time I saw the airport security scene was the funniest thing I ever saw.
