So my church is doing a thing for Advent on Hope and one of the reflections is on the second coming. Honestly, when I think of a possible "second coming of Jesus" I think it would threaten Christianity which has done okay in the last 2,000 years just "waiting" than it would if it actually occured (I'll leave the Revelations stuff aside). I honestly don't need a "return" for my faith or to pray for such to take place to retain my faith, and I also figure there are enough "Christian leaders" out there who would feel threatened by it, dismiss it and we'd end up going through the Passion of Christ all over again.
    "You say you are Jesus?"
Chyron: "Man says he is "Son of God" - church leaders doubt credentials"

Seriously, we have thousands who will flock to a water stain that looks like Mary, but would doubt what they have supposedly been praying about their entire lives.

If Jesus came back and saw what's going on in his name, he'd never stop throwing up.

My guess is the second coming would leave a lot of so-called Christians incredibly disappointed with their ultimate outcome.

The Dodgers would probably sign him because he’s supposedly an excellent curveball hitter.

The Yankees would miss out because they would insist on Jesus cutting his hair and shaving his beard.

A retired priest who for years oversaw the safety of children in Arlington’s diocese is charged with sexually abusing a child.
Terry Specht, 68, of Donegal, Pa., was indicted last week by a grand jury in Fairfax County with two felony counts related to sexual abuse of a child under 13 years old. The assault took place in 2000, according to the indictment, when Specht was chaplain and assistant principal at the 1,000-student St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax.

No, the market didn't cause people to lose their homes. You did. Well, maybe the devil made you do it.
