Washington Post Grasps for New Direction as Trump-Era Boom Fades

    While the former first lady of Indiana might be a bit much, it probably wouldn't be shocking that Biden, or perhaps any president, regardless of party, would attend a senator's funeral, especially those he worked with as long as someone such as Biden did.

    Now if he was going to something every week criss-crossing the country for a lieutenant governor or state treasurer, then's entire reasonable to question.

    No one would care if he went to play golf instead of attending funerals

    The funeral was for Susan Bayh. She was married to Evan Bayh, who after serving as Governor served in the Senate for 10 years with Biden. She was the daughter in law of Birch Bayh, who served eight years in the Senate with Biden. The funeral was at the National Cathedral in Washington. Biden essentially went to a funeral on his lunch hour.

    Yeah that's a nothingburger. I thought like he took the day to fly to Indiana to speak.

    He's also of the generation that attends funerals as a sign of respect. Tough times when common decency is criticized.
